Wolfgang Sohn
Wolfgang Sohn is a renowned photo artist, photo artist and curator known for his unique and extraordinary works. With his passion for photography, he has managed to push the boundaries of conventional photography and break new ground.
Growing up in Düsseldorf, he discovered his love for art and photography in particular at an early age. He began his career as a photographer and quickly developed his own style, which is characterized by a mixture of experimental photography, surreal elements and a deep emotional connection to his subjects with people.
As the founder of PHOTO POPUP FAIR, Wolfgang Sohn has created a platform to give national, international and talented photographers from all over the world the opportunity to present their work to a wide audience. PHOTO POPUP FAIR is a unique event that has already taken place eight times in Düsseldorf and offers photographers the chance to show their work in an interactive and inspiring environment.
Wolfgang Sohn is not only a talented artist, but also a dedicated curator who knows how to appreciate and promote the work of other photographers. He has an eye for exceptional photographic work and is always on the lookout for new talent to support and promote.
With his special vision and commitment to photography, Sohn has made a significant contribution to contemporary photography in Düsseldorf and beyond.
It is also particularly important to him to make photographic art in public spaces accessible to everyone, to present it to a wide audience and to creatively shape and thus enrich the urban environment. The OpenSpaceGallery in Düsseldorf’s city center recently caused a particular stir with the presentation of 63 works by national and international photo artists on a 150-meter-long construction fence. This project was awarded first place in the internationally renowned ICONIC Award in the B to B Communication category.
Snap Collective Verlag also published two further photo books entitled DISTANCE and NYC Scenes. A third photo book, Faces of Future, in which Sohn supported a social project, has just been published.
Wolfgang Sohn lives and works in Düsseldorf, Uerdingen and Mallorca.

We regularly make our walls and rooms available to selected artists. From painting and photography to sculptural objects – we give art space and guests the opportunity to discover, experience and acquire new works in a relaxed atmosphere.
Our exhibitions are not mere decoration, but deliberately curated contributions that reflect our standards of quality, aesthetics and openness.
This makes a visit to PAX not only a culinary experience, but also a cultural one – a place where art and gastronomy meet at eye level.
PAX Gallery – where art does not remain in the museum, but inspires in everyday life.
